slight soiling to the light grey cloth binding. Corners are slightly bumped. The
binding is tight. There are 45 fold-out plates protected by tissue guards. All
plates are present and in very good condition. A rare and important British
philatelic book. This one just does not show up very often. $550.00

COLLECTING. The Up-to-Date Stamp Journal. Volume I-September 1913 - March 1914. London,
Aldine Publishing Company: 1913-14. This is volume I complete of this rare
philatelic journal. Red cloth covers show wear to spine edges and corners. The
top of the spine and the corners are bumped. The cloth is faded a bit. The
binding is tight and pages are clean and free from marks or tears. The original
covers to this periodical are present with each issue. One of the issues have a
fold-out illustration. This illustration has some chips and tears, and one of
the pieces has been detached and is loose with the remainder of the fold-out.
This volume is truly a treasure trove of information on a wide variety of
philatelic subjects. Each issue also contains advertisements, auction notices,
and other shorter columns, in additional to feature articles. $150.00
