6. Custer, General George Armstrong. My Life on the Plains, or, Personal Experiences with Indians. New York: Sheldon & Company, 1874. First edition. 1874 rare first edition of this classic Western Americana autobiography. Quite a bit of wear to the spine edges and corners. Hinges are tight. The text block has a couple of places where it is starting to crack, but it isn't cracked and the binding is sound, with no loose pages. A few pages have foxing and dampstains at the edges, but not extensive. Corners rubbed and bumped. The gold illustration has dulledon the front cover, but it is still readable. A solid copy overall. $875.00

The title on the front cover and spine is still bright. The book is square and clean. Overall near very good condition. The dust jacket has slight soiling and where to the edges as well as a piece of the jacket missing from the bottom panel and the bottom of the spine. $75.00

20. Robinson, Doane . History of South Dakota. Volume 1 and 2. Complete set of two volumes. B.F. Bowen and Co., 1904. Complete set of two volumes. Both volumes are bound in black half leather, with leather spine and corners. The edges of the spines and corners are worn and rubbed, with some discoloration along the joints and edges of the boards. The leather corners are slightly rubbed through. A few small scuffed spots to the covers. The back cover of volume 2 has some wrinkling to the cloth from moisture contact. This is not severe. A few text pages near the end of volume 2 have some dampstaining to the lower edges. The text blocks are tight and the pages are clean. A very scarce South Dakota history, especially in so in the complete two-volume set. Includes quite a bit of history of the Sioux Indian wars, Custer and his expeditions, mining in the Black Hills and many other items of interest in South Dakota history. $445.00
