The front hinge has an older crude repair with strapping tape. The binding is still together and the pages are tight. The maps are hand-colored and beautifully rendered. Several of the leather labels are missing. The spine leather has darkened a bit and there is the expected wear and rubbing to the edges of the spine and corners. Corners are rubbed and slightly bumped, but not severely. All of the bindings are tight and the text blocks are square, with all contents complete. Overall a beautiful set. $245.00

There are numerous full-page steel-engraved plate illustrations as well as numerous smaller woodcuts. The illustrations are remarkable in detail and clarity and are protected by the original tissue guards. Each building featured gives a history of the edifice as well as the accompanying illustrations. Truly a beautiful antiquarian architectural work. $250.00

There are numerous full-page steel-engraved plate illustrations as well as numerous smaller woodcuts. The illustrations are remarkable in detail and clarity and are protected by the original tissue guards. Each building featured gives a history of the edifice as well as the accompanying illustrations. Truly a beautiful antiquarian architectural work. $250.00
